That's why preparing to download takes so much longer than the actual download, because it's going through that huge game file and comparing it to your local filesįor reference, i recently actually reinstalled the entire game and it took 10+ hours (compared to approx 15 minutes for each of the last couple updates), so if it's not taking that long it's probably not reinstalling the whole thing
Before i knew that i was always like "wtf, why is the update so huge!" but what's essentially happening during the preparing stage is that it's comparing what's on your hard drive to that entire game file (just comparing, not downloading anything, but that's why you see a "file size: Gb"), and then when it progresses to the download stage it only downloads whatever portion it found in the game file but not on your hard drive.
